Lunch, Beverages, Entertainment at Finish

$20,000 in Cash Prizes

Amount based on number of entrants in each division. Minimum of 5 entrants to establish a division.

OC6 Race

Sun. May 11th
Open Men, Open Women, and Mixed Divisions
Tentative schedule:
Women/Mixed Start at 9 am at Kalapaki
Men 11 am at Kalapaki
Entry fee will be $120 per canoe team.

OC6 race course and start times determined by number of particpants and weather.

Cash Prizes

3 boats make a division, 5 entries get that division in the money prize line up. Prize money is equitably dispursed based on the number of competitors in a divison and the level of competition in that division at the discretion of the race organizers.

If you are coming from anywhere other than Kauai and plan to race on Sunday in the OC6 race, make arrangements to reserve a canoe with one of the Kauai canoe clubs or ship your canoe over.


Individual Warm Up Race Details:

The events on May 8th & 9th are not team races. There will be money prizes for each warm-up race. No addtional entry fee! These prelim races are to encourage participants to become comfortable with the conditions of the course and warm up for the main event as well as recognize/reward individuals for their performance.

Relay Race Details:

Entry Fee: $100 per paddler. Includes entry for 2 warm-up races on May 8th and 9th, paddlers meeting spaghetti dinner May 11, race t-shirt (jersey), lunch after the race on May 10th, beverages and entertainment.

Canoe/Ski Shipping: Due to liability and damages in the past, people are responsible for coordinating shipping of their canoes/skis.

No individual escort boat needed; changes are done on shore. Teams must use the same boat. Surf ski competitiors can use their own skis because of the seating arrangement.
